Here's a little bit about us. Our purpose was to create a 1960's California style coffee house. What we ended up with was probably less like they really were and more like I remember them.All the murals on the walls are original, created by my daughter Erin, my wife Gerri and me. Our motto is "Where we celebrate coffee, nature, and folk music".
 
At Berkeley Bob's we have a full espresso bar featuring a full menu of cappuccinos, lattes, mochas and many specialty drinks including several kinds of hot, frozen or iced chai teas, healthy green tea based smoothies, frappes and Italian creme sodas (which we call California Cream Soda's all named after California landmarks such as The Berkeley Hippie, Ghiradelli Square, even the San Francisco Hooker). We specialize in iced coffee. All of our drinks can be made with whole, 2%, skimmed milk, soy or half and half (breve), and most can be made with sugar free flavors and even sugar free chocolate.  Our experienced barristas can tailor make you a drink to suit your desires.  Our Coffee of the Day features one of our many specialty coffees, often a shade grown, fair tradee organic, but have many others to choose from including orgnic decafs.and flavored coffees if you prefer those.  We aim to please.  You can also ask for our coffee punch card which enables you to receive one free drink after the purchase of ten.
 
We also sell whole bean coffee from all over the world, specializing in shade grown, organic, fair trade coffees as much as possible. We have around 40 different bulk teas including white, greens, reds, oolongs, blacks, florals, medicinals and herbals. We sell all the necessary coffee and tea peraphanalia. Our bakery features baked good from our own Pink Cottage Kitchen, and The Big Sky Bakery in Birmingham. We serve healthy soups in season (including Bob's Classic New Oall rleans Cajun red beans and rice on Mondays), salads (including what we think is the best chicken salad in town-Gerri's Fruited Chicken Salad) made fresh daily in our own kitchen by Gerri. Gerri is an excellent cook and baker. Try her homemade muffins, a different kind every day, brownies and chocolate chip cookies. Try our Swedish Tea Rings, homemade trail mix and Big Sky Granola. We always use organic flours, lettuce, and as many other organic ingredients as we can get. We are the healthy lunch alternative in Cullman. We can fax you a menu. Call us at 256-775-2944. Berkeley Bob? I was raised in California, graduated from the Univ of Calif at Berkeley in the '60's worked in forestry for 35 years in the west and south and retired to open the coffee house. I am a Viet Nam vetern, Marine chopper pilot, I spent the summer of love (San Franciso 1967)in RVN, rather than home in the Bay Area where it was all happening, obviously not by choice. The only vices I brought with me from California are folk music, wine making, I grow my own grapes, and organic gardening. The name Berkeley Bob originated with my wife and daughter. Come in and try our coffee drinks, lunches, natural and organic groceries or just hang out with our baristas, Erin and Katie. They will make you feel welcome and make you a wonderful drink! We are open from 6:30 AM till 6 PM, Saturday 9-6. on nights we have music we are open later, usually until 9:30 or so.
