Hi Folks,
This is the other half of Berkeley Bob's (some ask me if I'm "Mrs. Berkeley" when I meet them!!) and of course I always respond "yes".
I've never blogged in my entire life but I just had to tell of something wonderful that happened here at our coffee house this past Saturday.
I left Bob at home and headed off to the coffee house in the early afternoon but sidetracked to Cracker Barrel for one of their great desserts (which I only ate half of!) first.
When I pulled into the parking lot across from the Coffee House a little while later, I was very surprised to see about seven or eight motor cycles lined up one next to the other in the same lot. Since many of the businesses on our street were already closed I assumed the bikers were in the coffee house.
When I opened the door to enter I was surprised to see Bob standing in the middle of the group of bikers since I left him at the house a little earlier with no plans of leaving anytime soon. It took me a few seconds to look at the bikers and a big smile formed on my face as I recognized one after another of some very, very, very dear (younger) friends that Bob and I knew from many years past and whom we haven't seen in a long, long time.
We all laughed and hugged, took pictures of each other, had our barista take pictures of usall together and caught up on old times and talked about other old mutual friends.
If any of you kids happen to read this, I want you to know you totally made our day by coming by to see us. As you left that day and pulled out, one motor cycle after another and Bob and I stood outside waving good-bye I felt like "my kids" had just been here to visit us and we're looking forward to a repeat performance soon!
Until then, take care.
Hugs, Geri and Bob Keefe
